Synopsis
In a country where dreams are often lost in the chaos of everyday life, Vândalos gives voice to a marginalized yet resilient youth. The story follows Lembranço, a young street vendor — or “chips boy” — who lives daily under the stigma of being called a “molwene” — a vandal with no future. But behind the labels hides a young man with talent, hope, and ambition.

Melchior Ferreira
Melchior Ferreira is a Mozambican creative director, filmmaker, and multidisciplinary artist born in Xai-Xai (Gaza) in 1990. With over a decade of experience across advertising, music, and cinema, he began his journey in multimedia communication and visual storytelling, working with major networks and agencies such as TV Miramar, Ogilvy Mozambique, and Dentsu Aegis Network.
He currently serves as Creative Director at Create Mozambique, where he leads award-winning campaigns for brands like 2M, Vodacom, and Coca-Cola, blending cultural authenticity with bold creative execution. His recent short film Vândalos has been featured in international film festivals.
Americo Bila
Americo Bila, also known as “Bill Boy,” is a Mozambican director who began his journey in the audiovisual field in the 2010s and gained recognition in the market through projects with the musician Ziqo and Bang Entertainment’s Projecto Âncora.
With a solid career in audiovisual production, Bill Boy holds a stake in one of the most renowned production companies in the industry, Codeclife, which has been responsible for producing major brand commercials and music videos for both national and international artists.
