David CONSTANTIN
David Constantin is a Mauritian writer-director and producer. Whether documentary or fiction, David’s films are about the profound changes taking place in society, seen from the small laboratory of the world that is Mauritius, and their impact on human relations.
Along with other producers and directors in the Indian Ocean, David is also actively involved in the development of a local cinematography with a singular Indo-Oceanic identity. He is the founder of the Association Porteurs d’Images and of the Festival Ile Courts, the Mauritius International Short Film Festival. David also has another artistic activity: painting, with which he tries to tackle the same themes as in his films.
