Synopsis

 

Trapped within the walls of a disadvantaged neighborhood in Port-Louis, Nolwenn, an introverted child, lives with her tablet as her only window to the world. Yet she dreams in music—a dream that might become reality when she is welcomed into Mo’zar, an unconventional jazz school founded by an idealistic musician.

Sébastien Petretti

Belgian director Sébastien Petretti has a strong passion for storytelling and a keen sense of framing. He thrives on challenging projects and brings out the best in his actors. In 2016, he directed the short film État d’Alerte, sa mère, which was selected at numerous festivals and won an award in Clermont-Ferrand. In 2018, he returned with Make Aliens Dance, his latest short film, which also won around twenty awards worldwide.

In 2023, Sébastien completed his first documentary titled Mo’zar, Mon Style.
