Synopsis
Rémi and Virginie Hoareau are pioneers of living soil agriculture in tropical climates. In southern Réunion, an agricultural region dominated by sugarcane monoculture, they are dedicated to restoring the soil and biodiversity, which have been damaged by decades of unsustainable farming practices. They advocate for agriculture without fertilizers or pesticides, using permaculture and agroforestry. And they are not alone: every Saturday, they meet with other producers at the AREC market, the only community-run market on this Indian Ocean island. Their motto: tomorrow will be better.
