Short synopsis
During a civil war, in the aftermath of a massacre in a Mozambican village, two wounded soldiers from opposing sides, Manuel and Joaquim, must overcome their mutual hatred while confronting their own humanity. When a lost young girl becomes their shared responsibility amid landmines and chaos, they discover the true cost of war and the fragility of peace.
Statement of intent
In Mozambique, ravaged by war, two enemy soldiers wake up in a village reduced to ashes. No reinforcements. No common language. Just silence, eyes fixed on them, until a solitary child appears. What starts as a deadlock turns into a brutal trial of survival, fear, and the unspoken weight of violence. Stripped of politics and pretenses, No Limiar do Abismo is a relentless and profoundly human thriller that forces us to ask: when the war ends, what remains of the men who fought it?
