Synopsis
In Réunion Island creole, Misouk means “covertly”. Marie, under her father’s tight hold, is irresistibly drawn to Maloya, the ancestral music of Réunion Island. Despite the repeated acts of violence she suffers, she will defy authority and discover a life changing family secret.

Jawahine ZENTAR is a director and screenwriter.
She is best known for her first short film “On my father’s grave ” (2022, director, screenwriter).
After her studies in management, she started working in the film industry as a director’s assistant. She was on set with directors for ten years. “On my father’s grave ” is her first film as a director and screenwriter. She is currently developing new short and full length film projects.
