Tarun Jain’s career has been punctuated by a myriad of projects and the creation of four impactful short films.

One of his standout works, “Mother (Amma Meri),” delves into the agrarian crises gripping Haryana, India. Premiering at the prestigious Tampere Film Festival in Finland in 2018, an event recognised by the Oscars, it garnered widespread acclaim. This poignant piece went on to captivate audiences at renowned festivals like IFFI in Goa and MIFF in Mumbai, accumulating an impressive array of six awards across various categories.

 

His latest endeavour, “Ballad of the Mountain,” weaves a captivating narrative set against the backdrop of Uttarakhand’s foothills, chronicling the dreams of a modest girl aspiring to reach the stars as an astronaut.
