Marcelino méduse

Marcelino Méduse, 27 years old, is a Réunionese artist with many talents. He discovered theater at Lycée Antoine Roussin, where he trained before joining the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Réunion Island. He was selected to participate in the “Avoir 20 ans en 2015” project, which brought together 50 young Francophones (a project created by Wajdi Mouawad and supported by the TEAT Départementaux of Réunion).

In 2015, after completing his studies at the Conservatoire, he became an associate artist at the Centre Dramatique National of the Indian Ocean, under the direction of Lolita Monga.

In 2017, he founded the Aberash Company, where he wrote and directed De Toute Mon Existence (2017) and GABRIEL|LE (2019). In 2018, he ventured into short filmmaking with Démavouz mon kor, which was broadcast on France Ô. His second short film, Flèr Sinkèr, was produced by Pixel Dealer in 2021, as part of the regional project La Réunion, ce qui nous rassemble.

His desire to learn serial and audiovisual writing led him to leave his island to attend the Nouvelles Écritures program, which he completed in June 2023. He also wrote the text Fénwar (2022) for the Aberash Company and contributed to the En Actes project by the Kisa Mi Lé Company, with La Triste Tragédie de la Famille Angama.

In 2024, upon returning to his island, he presents his new short film Ou Mazine Pa, produced by White Star, with support from the Réunion Region, the AVR of the CNC, Cinékour, and Talents en Courts.
